Why Shea

Shea (pronounced Si, in the Bambara Language) Butter comes from the nut of a tree, indigenous to the Savannah Regions of Sub-Saharan Afrika. This Region stretches from Senegal to Uganda. Shea Butter is a therapeutic healing oil with superior skin moisturizing abilities, containing an abundance of Essential Fatty Acids (EFA); Vitamin A: moisturizer, and Vitamin E: promoter of increased micro-circulation to the skin resulting in increased blood supply to and from the skin.

Tamale Shea was named in honour of a town, Tamale, located in the northern region of Ghana. It is here that the Shea Trees grow wild, in abundance, on the savannah, harvested and transformed into shea butter by local women craft masters
